Morpholine is an important intermediate of fine chemistry and occupies an important position in chemical production. 60% of them are used as raw materials of rubber auxiliaries (sulfur promoter and antioxidant), and in medicine, it is used to synthesize many important drugs such as virus spirit, ibuprofen and cough. In addition, morpholine is also used as rust inhibitor, tank cleaner, neutralizer, surfactant, etc.
The traditional industrial production method of morpholine is based on the cyclization of diethanolamine by sulfuric acid dehydration. At present, the synthesis of morpholine by diethylene glycol and ammonia-catalyzed cyclization is the main production method at home and abroad. Analytical monitoring of the reaction mixture in production is an important part of controlling production. Regarding the analysis of morpholine samples, the determination of trace amounts of morpholine in boiler water has been reported abroad, but not in China. Since morpholine and its reaction mixture are somewhat alkaline, it is difficult to analyze them on a normal packed column. In this paper, a mixture of alkali-washed stretcher, SE-30 and PEG-20M stationary solution was used to quantify morpholine in the reaction mixture. The data showed that the results are accurate and reliable, and the method is suitable for production monitoring.
